Partnership Specialist- New Delhi

Major Duties and Responsibilities:-

1. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the IKEA Partnership and the IKEA funded projects. Provide proactive advice to the Partnership stakeholders to optimize short-term and long-term plans and activities to effectively and implement the IKEA partnership strategy in India and ensure that the goals, activities, and outcomes of the Partnership are aligned with those of UNICEF India’s Country Programme Plan of Action.

2. Support the India Country Office Management (Representative, Deputy Representative, Programmes), State Offices and Programme Sections to liaise effectively with the IKEA Social Initiative secretariat at all levels.

3. Lead in the coordination all aspects of the IKEA Partnership oversight activities, including planning, coordination, and preparation of concept papers, proposal development, consolidation of data and knowledge, analysis of project progress indicators, preparation of assessment missions. Monitor project implementation and results against annual and multi-year plans. 

4. Undertake field visits to proactively monitor projects and implementing partners supported by the Partnership. Prepare and facilitate periodic project assessments and reviews with IKEA and other partners. Identify and recommend necessary action for Partnership implementation adjustments.

5. In coordination with PIMO, SPPME and Programme Specialists, coordinate all annual financial and progress reports which will include updated data on progress towards objectives; status of activities; comparison of actual accomplishments with goals and objectives established for the period; lessons learned, explanations for any deviations from the work plan; and problems that have arisen and plans for addressing them and income / expenditure budgets to ensure compliance with specific assigned objectives and donor conditions.

6. Support the Partnership communication activities in collaboration with the Communications Officer (IKEA) and the ICO Communication Section to develop and implement the agreed strategies for both internal and external communication.

7. Coordinate and organise field trips to IKEA-funded projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience and competencies required: -

• Master’s degree in any of the following: Social Sciences; Public Administration; Communications; Business Administration.
• Five years progressively responsible professional work experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of the local languages at the duty station is an asset.
• Experience of Account Management ideally managing major corporate partnerships
• Experience of successfully developing strong relationships within a company and operating at a senior level. Analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
• Experience of managing multi-faceted projects operating between organisations, preparing and managing project timelines and plans.
• Experience of strategic planning, developing and monitoring income and expenditure budgets
• Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, in particular strong presentation skills
• Ability to demonstrate drive, initiative and be pro-active, demonstrate strong attention to detail and to problem solve
• Have understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Drive for Results.
