Child rights syllabus up and running in four universities of Georgia
New Child Rights’ Syllabus became part of the curriculum of schools of journalism The syllabus called ‘Children’s Rights and Journalism Practice’ was developed by UNICEF Regional Office in Geneva with the support of the Dublin Institute of Technology. The syllabus consists of students’ manual and teachers’ guide. With UNICEF support the manual was translated into Georgian. Then it was fully adapted to the local situation including chapters relevant to the local context. The Georgian version of the syllabus was printed and distributed to all the partner Universities ensuring that students and teachers can fully embark on the teaching process. The next steps include further dissemination of the syllabus to other journalism schools including the ones in the regions of Georgia.
