NGO Working Groups on Girls
The NGO Working Groups on Girls (WGGs) are two groups of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), associated with UNICEF and the NGO Committee on the Status of Women, based in New York and Geneva. They have joined together to continue their work for the rights and future of girls. The WGGs comprise over 80 international and national NGOs working in more than 100 countries at the grassroots level.

UNIFEM
UNIFEM is the women's fund at the United Nations (UN). It provides financial and technical assistance to innovative programmes and strategies that promote women's human rights, political participation and economic security. Within the UN system, UNIFEM promotes gender equality and links women's issues and concerns to national, regional and global agendas by fostering collaboration and providing technical expertise on gender mainstreaming and women's empowerment strategies.

Women Watch
Women Watch is a gateway to the information and resources on the promotion of gender equality throughout the United Nations system, including the United Nations Secretariat, regional commissions, funds, programmes and specialized agencies. It is a joint UN project that was created in March 1997 to provide internet space for global gender equality issues and to support implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action.

Division tor the Advancement of Women
Grounded in the vision of equality of the United Nations Charter, the Division advocates the improvement of the status of women of the world and the achievement of their equality with men. It aims to ensure the participation of women as equal partners with men in all aspects of human endeavour. It promotes women as equal participants and beneficiaries of sustainable development, peace and security, governance and human rights. It strives to stimulate the mainstreaming of a gender perspective both within and outside the United Nations system. Commission on the Advancement Of Women
The Commission on the Advancement of Women gives enhanced visibility and priority to gender equality within the NGO community. The Commission promotes gender equity in the policy and practice of national and international development and humanitarian assistance organizations.

International Centre for Research on Women
The International Centre for Research on Women's (ICRW) mission is to improve the lives of women in poverty, advance women's equality and human rights, and contribute to the broader economic and social well-being. ICRW accomplishes this, in partnership with others, through research, capacity building and advocacy on issues affecting women's economic, health and social status in low- and middle-income countries.
