Young People in the Media (YPM): UNICEF supports activities and the capacity of this group, through the Department of Information Services, for effective information sharing through the media and advocacy on the rights of children. Among their activities, the YPM runs a one-hour weekly radio programme funded by UNICEF that highlights a rights issue every week. The programme seeks out rights experts as resource persons and has a phone-in component which allows the views of other children to be shared.

School Peer Health Educators: Through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, UNICEF supports activities of peer health educators. These adolescents are trained to sensitize their peers in schools on topics such as confidence building and self-esteem as well as development issues like early marriage, teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, and drugs and alcohol abuse.
