2005 . March . In Senegal, Ms. Kidjo performed at the Africa Live: The Roll Back Malaria Concert in Dakar to raise awareness about the fight against malaria, which kills more children in Africa than any other disease. (Newsline)
2005 . February . In Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Ms. Kidjo participated in a three-day symposium on issues affecting the future of young people in Africa. The singer later performed at the Africa Unite concert, helping to raise US$40,000 for the construction of the Bob Marley Youth Development Centre in Addis Ababa.
