Production date: 20 November 2008

Duration: 3:34

Keywords: UNICEF, children, Brazil, sexual exploitation, trafficking, prostitution, Casa Renascer

Main shooting locations: Natal, Brazil

Main sequences: To an outsider, the post-card perfect beauty of Natal, Brazil, presents life as carefree, with lazy days of surfing, swimming and walking barefoot on the sand.  But as night falls, the back streets fill with young girls selling their bodies. They stand on street corners and linger in night clubs, exposing themselves to HIV, homelessness, physical and mental abuse, as well as greater chances they'll drop out of school and be left with poor parenting skills later in life, perpetuating a vicious cycle.
