Evaluation Consultant- Capacity Building/Self-Learning

UNICEF is seeking an evaluation consultant with knowledge and experience in training and capacity building in the field of monitoring and evaluation. The consultant will work on a comprehensive Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation training and learning package with the aim to increase access to learning opportunities and to facilitate the self-learning of UNICEF staff and partners. 

The consultant will deliver the following outputs:

1. Identify high quality electronically available self-learning tools/opportunities in the field of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, 
2. Identify distant learning and on-site training opportunities, 
3. Define a user-friendly classification system for these materials on the intranet,
4. Write an introductory text for each training and learning tool/opportunity identified (format of the training, needed level of expertise.),
5. Document collected materials and respective introductory text on a pre-defined data entry spreadsheet.

Evaluation Consultant - Capacity Building/Virtual Library 

UNICEF is seeking an evaluation consultant with knowledge and experience in the monitoring and evaluation field. Experience in a research/development institution highly desirable. The consultant will contribute to strengthening the evaluation function by building the Virtual Library of the evaluation intranet site. The virtual library is an online database of high quality resources related to evaluation (book references, websites, newsletters.)

The consultant will deliver the following outputs:

1. Collect high quality web resources/references related to evaluations in different types (e.g. on-line journals & newsletters, websites, guides.), different categories (e.g. Thematic areas, theory and evaluation techniques.) and different languages (English, French, Spanish).
2. Define a user-friendly classification system for these materials on the intranet.
3. Write a brief introductory text for each resource identified.
4. Document collected materials and respective introductory text on a pre-defined data entry spreadsheet.
