Over 50,000 Guinean workers who returned from Cote d'Ivoire last year are totally dependent on host communities and humanitarian aid for their subsistence. Meanwhile, the number of refugees in Guinea climbed to over 110,000. The country faces a complex emergency with insufficient resource to cope with a wide variet of needs. UNICEF requires further funding to protect women and children from violence and provide water.
