Consultancy for Fund Flow Analysis across all Focus Areas for Resource Mobilization Toolkit project, New York Headquarters
The Strategic Investment and Performance Assessment Section, Division of Policy and Practice, New York Headquarters seeks a consultant to assist in an ambitious undertaking to complete a strategic analysis of sources and uses of UNICEF funds - a fund flow analysis, based on a completed pilot project for one out of five of UNICEF's Focus Areas (HIV/AIDS: FA3) , with graphic templates and methodology is already developed to a high degree.
Tasks include:
To complete the remaining four out of five "Focus Area" analyses, using data provided by UNICEF internal management information system, organizing data in charts and tables using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for intranet publication.
Perform initial trend analysis and, under guidance from senior team members, provide a short draft analytical write-ups of each analysis.
Provide lessons learned in final stage of project, with recommendations for refining the methodology applied.
Background of the ideal candidate:
o University degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or Public Policy.
o Good computer skills - prerequisite.
o Experience with database and statistical software and good analytical and writing skills - desirable.
o Prior experience with UNICEF or other UN organizations - advantage.
Duration: 80 working days, starting as soon as possible.
