Education Specialist, L-4, Bangkok Regional Office, Thailand

If you are a passionate and committed professional and want to make a lasting difference for children, the world's leading children's rights organization would like to hear from you. UNICEF seeks an Education Specialist to be based in its Bangkok Regional office, Thailand.

Under the general guidance of the Representative, you responsible for overall coordination, planning, development and management of regional United Nations Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI) activities, including country level follow up and regional coordination with partners.

Your profile:
Advanced university degree in Education and/or Gender Studies.
Eight years of professional work experience at the national and international levels in social development, management, monitoring and evaluation.
Current knowledge of development issues, strategies as well as programming policies and procedures in international development cooperation.
Proven ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas, as well as to impart knowledge and teach skills.
Ability to supervise and direct a team of professional staff.
Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
Computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
Fluency in English and another UN language is required. Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset.
