Chief, HIV/AIDS, L-4, N'Djamena, Chad
If you are a passionate and committed professional and want to make a lasting difference for children, the world's leading children's rights organization would like to hear from you. UNICEF seeks a Chief, HIV/AIDS to be based in its N'Djamena office, Chad.
Under the general guidance of the Deputy Representative, you will be responsible for the development, planning, implementation, management of the HIV/AIDS programme within the country programme of co-operation, thereby improving the status of women and children and furthering the implementation of the CRC in Chad.
Your profile:
Advanced university degree in medicine, social sciences, public health or a related technical field.
Minimum of eight years of previous work experience in policy planning in HIV/AIDS and MCH knowledge of an experience in HIV/AIDS epidemiology, evidence based interventions and prevention, care and support.
Previous experience in African emergency contexts an advantage.
Current knowledge of the latest developments and technology, in the field.
Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, plan and manage programmes, as well as to impart knowledge and teach skills.
Leadership and teamwork abilities.
Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
Computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications.
Fluency in French and English. Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset.
