Disasters and Emergencies

  1. In disaster or emergency situations, children should receive essential health care, including measles vaccination, adequate food and micronutrient supplements. (Supporting Information)

When such events occur, children need special attention, extra affection and the opportunity to express their feelings and to describe their experiences in ways that are appropriate for their age.
