Global Evaluation Reports Oversight System (GEROS) is an organization-wide system and the quality assessment of final evaluation reports is managed by the Evaluation Office’s Systemic Strengthening unit. This is complimented by quality-assurance mechanisms designed and implemented by Regional Offices and Country Offices to quality assess draft evaluation reports. All final evaluations are assessed by an external independent company. For additional information, please download the GEROS methodology. Once the reports are assessed, detailed feedback on how to improve future evaluations is sent to the office that commissioned the evaluation. Meta-evaluation reports (2012, 2011, 2010) are produced, disseminated and used to improve UNICEF decentralized evaluation function.
