Berhane Adere

Berhane signed to serve as good will ambassador for UNICEF on March 2004, the first UNICEF Ethiopia Goodwill Ambassador.

Athlete Berhane Adere is born in 1973 in Shewa. She is the fourth of the six children in the family. She began her carrier in the 1990’s and runs for 3000, 5000 and 10,000 meters.

Berhane won gold medal at the 10, 000 meters in the 2003 women’s world athletics championships in Paris. She has a gold medial in the world indoors championships for 3000 meters in the same year.
