It also looks into the community hand pump projects and women discussing on the problems revolving around the distribution of ground water. It also highlights the problem of fluoride in the rift valley areas and the pilot project of extracting fluoride.

The UNICEF Representative Mr. Ibrahim Jabr highlights about the new technology finding - the low cost insecticide malaria net. He further explains the effort of Government and UNICEF in controlling the disease that affects mother and children. He further stressed the need for partnership. The vice Minister Dr. Demissie Tadesse also stressed the government effort and the need to control the disease.
This film in English, Amharic, Oromifa and Tigrina is aired on ETV to commemorate the 2002 Africa Malaria day. It contains the views of the community who have been using the net. According to the community the net and found it to be effective and less costly as compared to the cost that would have been spent for examination and treatment of the disease.

The video depicts the situation of water in certain part of Ethiopia during the drought situation and UNICEF’s intervention. It captures the voices of the children, women and the community at large on the shortage of water and food and its effect on their day to day life. It also shows UNICEF response to the immediate emergency situation by distributing plastic sheets, jerry cans and water. It also looks into UNICEF long term and sustainable activities in the region.

The film revolves around the life of Samia Sadik whose greatest wish is to be a medical doctor. She is the first girl from her village, Harla, in Eastern Ethiopia who struggle with traditional practices to pursue her education instead of getting married against her will at the age of 14. Her painful struggle with traditional practices to pursue her education is depicted in the film. It also presents the role that her teachers and the Women's Affairs Office have played to help realize her rights through continuous consultation at different level. It shows the family changed perception towards supporting Samia to continue with her studies and canceling the commitment they had underwent to give their child to a man. It also shows Samia’s effort to shares her painful struggle with her school mates and her views on the benefits of girls’ education.
