INVESTING IN BOYS AND GIRLS IN ETHIOPIA: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE. 2012 The review of the situation of girls and boys in Ethiopia is produced by the Government of Ethiopia and the United Nations.It is the first such publication since 1993. Preparation started in 2010 with working papers based on literature reviews and field work in all regions. Findings were discussed in a series of meetings with civil servants and civil society. This information was used to help frame how the United Nations would support the Growth and Transformation Plan. To the extent possible the data has been updated as of the end of 2011. Herein lies a summary of these discussions and each chapter ends with action points that are being pursued to accelerate the realisation of the rights of all the children of Ethiopia.
