As part of UNICEF’s Global Movement for Children, the Ethiopian teenagers’ forum now named the Youth Forum was founded with the support of UNICEF Ethiopia as a follow up of the Special Session for Children. Since its inception in 2002 the Forum has held seven sessions and developed recommendations.  The group later decided to change their name to the Ethiopian Youth Forum to include young people in their early twenties.

The latest session of the forum on Youth and Unemployment was held on 4 March 2005, at Africa Hall, ECA.
