Working for UNICEF

More than just a job

What we do
Globally, UNICEF is the driving force that helps build a world where the rights of every child are realized. In Ethiopia, UNICEF is the go-to agency for children and children’s rights. Working for UNICEF is clearly more than a job; it’s a mission to make the world a better place for children.

UNICEF Ethiopia supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education for all boys and girls, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS. We are able to influence decision makers at both national and regional levels and turn the most innovative ideas into reality.

Headquartered in Addis Ababa, we work on the ground with a presence in all regions of the country and are a strong partner of the Government of Ethiopia in realizing its Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
