On 3 October, Akber Khan reads a book in Nasir Bagh, a makeshift settlement for Afghan refugees who have left official camps, in the city of Peshawar. Akber was born and brought up in this settlement where he works and also attends a non-formal primary school. He has travelled once to Afghanistan, saying, "I was surprised to see so much beauty. The weather, the landscape and fruits, they are so beautiful.... I will go back to Afghanistan when the war is over, when there is peace.
