NNACE: Ecuadorian children and adolescents speak up on national TV

More than 100 Ecuadorian children and adolescentes from all around the country are now part of NNACE (Niños, niñas y adolescentes comunicadores del Ecuador).  This means they have been trained on children's rights, TV reporting, production and editing, and have the fruit of their work broadcast on national TV at news time.

UNICEF participates in this effort with Plan through ACNNA (Agencia de comunicacion de niños, niñas y adolescentes).  The objetive is to promote child participation and to reach families with the voices of children.  UNICEF ally ECUAVISA, a national TV sation that yearly holds with UNICEF the Niñoesperanza campaign, offers NNACE a space in their night news broadcast.  Children can thus see and hear about children's issues treated from a young point of view, and parents can hear children  from various ethnic origins speak up. The bottom line is that children have very valid opinions and things to say to each other and to adults..

ACNNA, an Ecuadorian comunication Agency and member of Latin America´s Red ANDI, that promotes and trains mass media on how to aproach infancy isiues with UNICEF support.
