Slight prick of pain yields protection against measles
Vaccination against measles is important because of the highly contagious and severe nature of the disease. Once a measles outbreak occurs, it hits especially hard those children whose bodies are already weak from poor nutrition and other illnesses such as diarrhoea. (12 November 1999)

Schools reopen in East Timor as life returns to some degree of normalcy
Schools are reopening throughout East Timor, only a few weeks after the end of violence and destruction throughout the month of September. (10 November 1999)
