Support UNICEF in DPR KoreaUNICEF's programme of cooperation in the DPR Korea is funded from three different sources. UNICEF Regular Resources provide around US$ 1 million per year. Funding can be sourced from donors for other parts of the regular programme up to US$3 million per year. UNICEF also participates in the annual Consolidated Interagency Appeal and in 2004 has appealed for US$14,803,960. The operation has never been fully funded forcing much hard prioritization. For instance, the essential drugs project now only provides six very vital medicines to health institutions around the country. UNICEF is very grateful for these important contributions but does critically need additional funding to provide essential humanitarian assistance to the children of the DPR Korea and to move towards development, thus paving the way for an eventual exit from the ongoing emergency. Contributions to UNICEF are managed by its Programme Funding Office (PFO) in New York. The PFO's contact details are given below. Programme Funding Office Donor updates
