New World Department Stores
New World Department Stores (NWDS) was established in1993, is an institutional organization of tactical under the Hong Kong New World Group. Armed with solid financial power, NWDS is growing up with professional management specialist, experienced and flexible way of marketing. Today, we already have 19 stores all over China, and we expect the number of branch store will increased to 21 by the end of 2005, with total sales area of 590,000 sqm. The New World Department Stores always remain its credible and faithful trade, and we would like to take the lead of high-quality and relaxing shopping mode for the customers. The object of New World Department Store is regarded as a shopping-chain with profitable and fashionable market in China. In order to create a better future for Chinese children as well as support the projects by UNICEF in China, The New World Department Store will take an active lead in fundraising with its 19 department stores all over China, and all funds raised will be used in the basic education project for the poor children in rural areas.
Taking its own advantage, the New World Department Store has organized different kinds of activities for fundraising. Apart from donation box, we also involved local mass media such as TV, newspaper and broadcasting station on press coverage, as well as big photo exhibition in front of store gate. The Jianshe Store of Wuhan NWDS invited the anchorman, famous editor and the well-known business managers to participate the charity sales, on the spot donation cheque hand-over. In Beijing, BJ NWDS built the Loving Care Castle to advocate for the funds-raising, and has drawed big public attention. During the festivals such as Children's Day, National holiday and Christmas Day, every stores of the New World Department Store fully initiated the activity for both fundraising and raise the awareness for UNICEF's mandate and work in China. From the beginning of UNICEF-NWDS cooperation, the different branch store under New World Department Store, which were Shenyang NWDS – Nanjing road store, Shenyang NWDS – Taiyuan road store, Beijing New World Department Store, Lanzhou NWDS, Wuhan NWDS, Wuhan New World Fashion Square, Wuhan NWDS – Wu Chang store, Wuxi NWDS, Ningbo NWDS, Ningbo NWDS – HuiMei store, Shanghai NWDS – Hongkou store, have all started various activities to raise fund for UNICEF. Along with the new project development, there will be more and more new branch stores join this meaningful Love&Care partnership.
