Partnerships

The urgency, complexity and magnitude of the issue on children, young people and AIDS require all sectors of the society to work together. To accelerate and scale up action, we need to work in partnership with Government ministries, the UN system and international organizations, people living with HIV/AIDS and vulnerable groups, medical, scientific and educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, the business sector, the media, and young people themselves.

Coordinated by the State Council AIDS Working Committee Office, a wide alliance has been built on Children, Young People and AIDS. UNICEF's partners include:

Ministry of Education

Ministry of Civil Affairs
All China Women's Federation
Chinese Communist Youth League
China National Committee for the Care of Children
Other UN agencies including UNAIDS, UNDP, UNESCO, and UNFPA
The private sector
Religious leaders
People living with AIDS organizations, and
