Olga, a 17-year old student from Vyborg in Russia, will represent the G8 countries in this "Summit before the Summit" press conference. The whole week, young people from the G8 countries and the develoing world discuss the issues of the G8 Summit in Wismar, close to Heiligendamm, the venue of the G8 Summit. The G8 will bring together the "most important leaders of the world" later this week. And the young people from the Junior 8 will meet them face-to-face this coming Thursday, so they need to be prepared.

Olga was selected to be in the Russian J8 team, because she put in an interesting article to the J8 competition in Russia. "To get along with other people well, you need to understand yourself and your role in the world. I wrote an essay about the identity of the Russians. I find it very important to really feel at home in your native country and to have tolerance towards other."

The press conference with Roger Moore in Berlin will take place at the "Haus der Bundespressekonferenz" in Berlin at 11 AM on June 5, 2007. For further information, please contact UNICEF Germany (Rudi Tarneden, tel. +49 170 8518846).
