Tatiana Toporovschi, a 14 years old girl, the youngest volunteer at Youth Media Centre, represented Moldova at the Conference ”Building a Europe for and with children”, organized by Council of Europe and UNICEF in Monaco.

In an article about her participation at the Conference, Tatiana writes: “There where participants from different countries (Lithuania, Italy, Denmark, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia etc.), and all of us had the same goal: to propose solutions for ensuring a prosper future to the next generations. Even I was the youngest participant I didn’t feel inferior and I’ve done my best to represent our country at a higher level. I was amazed by Monaco, a very rich principality with simple and friendly citizens. ”

During the period 2-5 April I was selected to represent Republic of Moldova and the Youth Media Centre in Monaco, where was organized the International Conference ”Building a Europe for and with children”, by Council of Europe and UNICEF.

There were participants from different countries (Lithuania, Italy, Denmark, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia etc.), and all of us had the same goal: to propose solutions for ensuring a prosper future to the next generations.

On 2nd and 3rd of April we worked in different groups. We had to give solutions for improving youth participation, preventing domestic and school violence, and sexual abuse. We referred to the Convention of Children Rights and talked about the importance of respecting it. At the end of the day we reached a consensus: children protection against sexual abuse, discrimination, physic abuse, should be preference for all the states.

The most interesting and difficult job was to work on the Strategy for Informing children/youth about their rights. I really enjoyed that session because I heard and learnt from other experiences different ideas that can be implemented in Moldova: sending SMS with information about children rights

On 4th and 5th of April was organized the proper conference and were presented public the results of our discussions. We where happy that our results and our ideas where heard, clapped, positively commented and it will be soon implemented.
