Emir Kusturica at the Cannes Film Festival
13 May 2005 Emir Kusturica, UNICEF National Ambassador for Serbia, is this year’s President of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival. Twice winner of “The Palme d’Or – Festival de Cannes”, film director Kusturica will attend the Film Festival also on behalf of UNICEF. In this capacity, he will participate in an annual special event on May 13th, where he, along with other National and Goodwill Ambassadors, will climb the stairs in Cannes, together with children. While climbing the stairs, there will be a live show for the children, with comedians, musicians, actors and actresses taking part. More than 1,800 children and adults will be at the scene. Once again, Kusturica and other National and Goodwill Ambassadors will use their talents and fame to focus public attention on children across the world.
