20th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child
November 20, 2009 - UNICEF country offices across the CEECIS region celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. As part of the celebrations, a special child rights-focused film festival took place in Zagreb, Croatia. In Kazakhstan, the UNICEF office announced its first Goodwill Ambassador, Batyrkhan Shukenov. In the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the President, Dr. Gjorgi Ivanov, reflected on the importance of the CRC during a panel discussion.
