OneMinutesJr workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in Georgia - Day 4

TBILISI, 21 May 2013 - And now the final day of the two back-to-back OneMinutesJr workshops in Georgia has come. Time to get the last few films shot and edited.

A last-minute shooting takes place in the playground next to the workshop venue. One of the participants has been working the whole week on the drawings for an animation film and now everything is ready and we can produce the movie.

Once this is done, we are back to the editing desks and now have to finalize all 16 films from this very creative workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). We have set the presentation for the afternoon and almost all the participants from the first workshop (on violence against children) have come to watch the premiere of the "new" films. The atmosphere is just great and nearly 40 teenagers from different parts of the country unite in the event, showing their talents and their creativity when it comes to story-telling.

After watching the films and handing out the certificates of participation, we say a final farewell to the Georgian teenagers. UNICEF Georgia will now use the films in advocacy, they will go online on www.theoneminutesjr.org and some are already on Youtube, adding to the outreach and sharing the films with more and more young people.
