Severe floods and landslides caused by the El Niño phenomenon are affecting 7 (out of 9)
Departments in Bolivia.
According to Viceministry of Civil Defense, more than 36.000 families are currently affected and in
need of assistance including food, shelter and provision of non-food item (NFI) stocks. It is predicted
that approximately 70,000 families could be affected in total by the end of El Niño.
