Integrated and Inclusive Systems for Children

This programme will contribute the following key expected results: 

• the ministries of health, in coordination with other key ministries, to provide integrated, inclusive and quality services in health, nutrition, early childhood development and HIV/AIDS;
• BiH education authorities, at all levels, and schools to ensure equitable access and quality education for all children and promote youth employability, based on key principles defined in the strategic education reform documents;
• BiH authorities at all levels to address targeted gaps in protection systems and to provide institutional resources to referral systems for the protection of children and women from violence, abuse, neglect, injury or other risks.
  

This programme will address the wider social issues, such as child poverty, and their impact on access to and the quality of services. This will be achieved by encouraging and supporting community participation, the endorsement of policy frameworks and the strengthening of systems in line with international standards.

It will focus on equitable access to quality education, Early Childhood Development (ECD), maternal and child health care and social and child protection services, particularly for vulnerable and excluded children and their families.
