UNICEF Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified candidate for the position of
Project Officer Early Childhood Development and Mother and Child Health
NOA, Fixed-Term Appointment
Under the supervision of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Mother and Child Health (MCH) Project Officer, contributes to planning, administration, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Integrated ECD and MCH projects.
Key tasks:
• Collect and assemble data and background information with regard to Integrated ECD and MCH programmes/projects and provide updated information on programme/project financial and administrative status for analysis and report purposes.
• Under the supervision of the Project Officer, develop and implement activities as per Integrated ECD and MCH work plan.
• Draft Project Cooperation Agreements and programme budgets and monitor cash assistance.
• Communicate and coordinate with counterparts on project implementation and recommend courses of action and adjustments to the supervisor. Organize field visits with partners, which include providing information and briefing on project activities and status.
• Prepare progress reports and contribute to the preparation of donor reports, annual reports and other reports as required.
• Contribute to resource mobilization including by drafting sections of project proposals for donors.
Essential Requirements Qualifications and Experience:
• University degree in Social Sciences, Medicine, or a related technical field.
• Fluency in English and local languages (oral and written) required, with experience in production of professional documents in these languages. Knowledge of additional UN language is an asset.
• Minimum two years of relevant working experience and knowledge of issues related to ECD, MCH, and social inclusion and professional work experience in project administration, including data collection and analysis.
• Relevant UN experience is an asset.
• Experience in working with the governmental and non-governmental sector could be considered as advantage.

Project Officer Social Protection and Inclusion Programme
NOA, Fixed-Term Appointment
Under the supervision of the Social Protection and Inclusion (SPI) Programme Officer contributes to programme planning, administration, implementation and evaluation of programme/project activities, data analysis and progress reporting.
Key tasks:
• Collect and assemble data and background information and analysis focusing on social protection and inclusion and the public expenditure planning in support of design and implementation of the Social Policies and Child Rights Monitoring Programme and collect/analyse data and documentation on the status of particularly vulnerable groups of children in BiH.
• Monitor and provide updated information on programme/project status.
• Communicate and coordinate with counterparts on project implementation and recommend courses of action and adjustments to the supervisor. Organize filed visits with partners, which include providing information and briefing on project activities and status.

UNICEF Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified candidate for the position of
Programme Assistant, Social Protection and Inclusion Programme
GS-6, Fixed-Term Appointment
Under the supervision of the Social Protection and Inclusion (SPI) Programme Officer, performs information gathering, technical and administrative services, as well as procurement/supply activities in support of UNICEF Country programme activities.
Key tasks:
• Collect information and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports on programme and project activities. Organize data and information, prepare and maintain records.
• Contribute to the preparation of all project related documents and correspondence, by providing information, drafting documents, preparing tables.
• Assist the supervisor in implementation of projects: budget monitoring, administrative processes and follow up of activities.
• Act as a focal point in the office regarding local procurement:
o Coordinate and facilitate planning process.
o Undertake local procurement: prepare specifications, undertake market research for identification of suppliers, prepare tenders, issue invitations to bid, obtain bids from suppliers and follow up with suppliers and end users. Consolidate and monitor supply requisitions and raise purchase orders.
o Assist in preparation of various office reports by drafting procurement components.
Essential Requirements Qualifications and Experience:
• Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses.
• Fluency in English and local languages (oral and written) required, with experience in production of professional documents in these languages. Knowledge of additional UN language is an asset.
• Minimum six years of progressively responsible administrative work, of which at least one year closely related to support of programme activities and two years related to supply/logistics management.
• Knowledge of UN procurement, administrative and financial policies and procedures is an asset.
• Relevant UN experience is an asset.
