Knowledge Attitude and Practices Survey on De-institutionalization of Children without parental care & Violence against children


Selected Agency should: Provide technical assistance in conducting baseline Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Survey (KAP) on children without parental care, and institutional versus foster care for children, among the BIH general public and collecting the baseline data on attitudes towards different forms of child discipline, corporal punishment and perceptions of physical and psychological violence.

The findings of the survey should include disaggregated data for urban/rural areas, female/male, different age groups, education level etc. Besides the KAP survey, the consulting agency will facilitate the focus groups to test the draft materials, key messages and communication channels.

Required expertise / Criteria for the selection of contractors:

- Extensive work experience in data collection and data analysis for opinion polls and similar surveys in BiH;
- Outstanding skills in statistical analysis and detailed knowledge of relevant statistical tools applied;
- Excellent analytical and writing skills in English and local language
- Experience with Knowledge Attitude and Practice surveys
Qualifications of the personnel engaged:
- University degree in the field of Social Science, Political Science or related fields.
General Professional Experience:
- 5 years of experience in the fields of research, organisation development, planning, statistical data collection
- 5 years of experience in management of similar project, as a team leader or project manager
Specific Professional Experience:
- Experience in the implementation of similar surveys in the WB countries on at least two projects.

Proposals should be submitted in English. The proposals must be mailed to UNICEF, Zmaja od Bosne bb, and delivered in two separate sealed envelopes (one containing technical and the other financial proposal) by 20 May 2013, 17.00 hrs with the remark: Proposals for RFP no. 007/2013 for the Institutional Consultancy – Knowledge Attitude and Practices Survey on De-institutionalization of Children without parental care & Violence against children
Please note that the technical offer should not have any data on budget, i.e. financial aspect of offer (this should be exclusively stated in the financial proposal).

All bidders are invited for the public opening of the bids. The public opening will be held on 22 May 2013 at 11:00 hrs in UNICEF premises, Zmaja od Bosne bb.
 
In accordance with UNICEF Rules and Regulations the award and the reasons for making the award are UNICEF's internal decision and information about other bidders or their bids must not be divulged.

The invitation for submission of proposals does not obligate signing of the contract with bidders, nor does it assume the obligation to pay the costs of preparing the bids.
