Institutional Consultancy: Logistical and organizational support for Media Workshops and Annual Media Award 2013

Following the official presentation of the MICS IV reports, the selected Company will provide logistical and organizational support for  two interactive workshops (16-18 May and 14-16 November 2013) to facilitate the dissemination, discussion and exchange of experiences and good practices on media reporting on issues related to children’s rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) The first workshop in May will be the opportunity to promote the UNICEF Media Award 2013, while the workshop in November will be the opportunity to showcase the most successful received applications, select and announce the winners of the UNICEF Annual Media Award 2013.

In preparation of the two workshops, the selected company will be facilitating transport (or reimbursement of transport costs) and logistics for participants to allow for the smooth preparation and realization of the workshops. In addition to this, the company will be assisting in collection and sharing of presentations, materials and contacts among participants and presenters. The company will provide symbolic fees for the presenters and experts, in agreement with UNICEF, as well as the preparation of the Selection jury, their logistics, collection of applications to the Call for Applications for the Media Award, preparation of symbolic awards and certificates. 

Required expertise / Criteria for the selection of contractors:

The Implementing Company should have:
• Extensive experience in planning and implementation of PR / Communication activities, including event management
• Additional services offered free-of charge will be taken into account during the selection process

Potential bidders should submit bidding documentation consisting of:

1. Cover letter confirming understanding of the ToR and readiness to employ resources to support the achievement of outlined objectives and deliverables
2. Description of methodology for implementation of proposed activities
3. Description of previously implemented similar activities and list of references
4. CVs of all involved team members and Consultants within the Company
5. Budget with narrative explanation (template can be obtained at request)

Proposals and budgets should be submitted in English or BHS language. The proposals must be mailed to UNICEF, Zmaja od Bosne bb, and delivered in two separate sealed envelopes (one containing the  technical and the other financial proposal) by 24 April 2013, 17.00 hrs with the remark: Proposals for RFP no. 005/2013 for the Institutional Consultancy – Logistical and organizational support for Media Workshops and Annual Media Award 2013.

Please note that the technical offer should not have any data on budget, i.e. financial aspect of offer (this should be exclusively stated in the financial offer).

All bidders are invited for the public opening of the bids. The public opening will be held on 25 April 2013 at 13.00 hrs in UNICEF premises, Zmaja od Bosne bb.
 
In accordance with UNICEF Rules and Regulations the award and the reasons for making the award are UNICEF's internal decision and information about other bidders or their bids must not be divulged.

The invitation for submission of proposals does not obligate signing of the contract with bidders, nor does it assume the obligation to pay the costs of preparing the bids.

UNICEF accepts no responsibility for undelivered proposals, and will not accept proposals after the closing date and time.
