Under the Child Protection Section and within the Project “Assessment of Child Begging (and other street work) in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Strengthening the protection of vulnerable children and marginalized children”, UNICEF in Bosnia and Herzegovina is looking for a Research Agency/Institution to conduct a survey of children working on the streets in two locations in BiH using Respondent Driven Sampling methodology and provide statistical analysis of the collected data as well as the analytical report in both English and BCS languages. The purpose of this research is to advance our knowledge of the public’s exposure to and knowledge about the issue, their attitude toward the children, and how they respond when in contact with the children, in support to the study on the Assessment of Child Begging and Other Street Work in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Required expertise / Criteria for the selection of contractors:
The criteria for selection of research agencies/companies that will be taken into consideration are as follows:
Potential bidders should submit bidding documentation consisting of:
1. Cover letter confirming that the Applicant understands the ToR and its readiness to employ its resources to support the achievement of outlined objectives and deliverables
2. Description of methodology for implementation of proposed activities
3. Description of previously implemented similar activities, if any
4. CVs of all involved consultants and team members within the Agency
5. Budget with narrative explanation
6. Copy of the registration documents of the agency
Proposals and budgets should be submitted in English or BHS language. The proposals must be mailed to UNICEF, Zmaja od Bosne bb, and delivered in two separate sealed envelopes (one for technical specification and one for financial proposal) by 2 April 2013, 17:00 o’clock with the remark: Proposal no. 001/2013 for the Public Opinion Survey (Assessment of Child Begging and Other Street Work in BiH). Please note that the technical offer should not have any data on budget, i.e. financial aspect of offer (this should be exclusively stated in the financial offer).
Please note that proposals that have already been received will be taken into consideration during public opening.
All bidders are invited for public opening of the bids that will be held on 5 April 2013 at 10.00 hrs in UNICEF premises.
In accordance with UNICEF Rules and Regulations the award and the reasons for making the award are UNICEF's internal decision and no information about other bidders or their bids must not be divulged.
The invitation for submission of proposals does not obligate signing of the contract with bidders, nor does it assume the obligation to pay the costs of preparing the bids.
