This 20-page report outlines the key findings of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) 2006, including those relating to nutrition, education, immunization, reproductive health and HIV/ AIDS. The Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, known as Progotir Pathey, is a UNICEF-developed household survey which aims to fill data gaps for monitoring human development, particularly relating to children and women. With technical support from UNICEF, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics conducted the 2006 survey among a total of 62,463 households. It provides disaggregated data down to district level on a large number of socioeconomic indicators.
