Third and Fourth Periodic Report of the Government of Bangladesh under the CRC
This Government of Bangladesh report describes the progress made to implement the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) since it was ratified by Bangladesh in August 1990. The document is produced as part of the reporting requirements of the CRC. The report describes the progress in areas including: legislative change; definition of the child; civil rights and freedoms; family environment and care (including adoption); basic health and welfare; education; juvenile justice and indigenous child rights. The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child responded to this report with specific recommendations in 2009.
