At the 27th Special Session of the UN General Assembly in May 2002, Governments committed to a set of time-bound and specific goals, strategies and actions for the rights and well-being of children, which culminated in a document called A World Fit for Children. This is the child-friendly version of A World Fit for Children, prepared by Save the Children. It aims to inform children and young people about the commitments made by the government in an easily understandable language.
