Call for proposal for development of the CRC Alternative ReportUNICEF, OHCHR and OSI-AF Deadline for application: 13 March 2009, 18:00 The project is a joint UNICEF, OHCHR, and OSI-AF initiative to support the civil society in the development of the next Alternative Report on the situation of children in Azerbaijan in line with the Guidelines of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC). The report will include detailed overview of improvements and challenges in terms of implementation of Convention on the Rights of the Child and the latest Concluding Observations of the CRC. The report is to be developed by the civil society organization(s) and will serve as a source of alternative information for the Committee on the Rights of the Child in the process of consideration of the next State Party report of Azerbaijan to CRC. The eligibility criteria for the civil society origination/s willing to apply: A joint application of an umbrella of organizations is highly encouraged. Organization/s may apply for development of the report covering all the rights and principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child or specific children’s rights (sectoral) implementation. The implementing organization will be selected by a Steering Committee composed of representatives of UNICEF, OHCHR, and OSI-AF.
