Early Childhood Care and Development Task Force
UNICEF supported the creation of the ECCD Task Force, which has representatives of seven government ministries. The group meets regularly to ensure that children’s health and development are addressed in a comprehensive way. In addition, we have aided formation of an ECCD network with 50 partners representing civil society and academic institutions. An information-packed website was launched in 2003, and a media awareness campaign is producing leaflets, posters and manuals with informative messages for families and communities.
