Youth Media Network
The UNICEF-supported youth television programme "Troç" (straight talk) recently celebrated its 300th show -- the longest-running locally produced programme on national television. Operating in 11 bureaus around the country, the 80 young reporters (14-18 years old) develop story ideas, research, report, interview, film and narrate their stories. They are learning critical thinking skills and increasing their self confidence while informing a weekly audience of several hundred thousand about the issues important to Albanian youth – which are rarely covered by the adult media.
