The heart of UNICEF work is in the field. Therefore, most partnerships between UNICEF and civil society organizations happen at country level in the context of a programme of cooperation that is developed together with the host government (see: partnering at country level). Partnerships also happens to a great extent in humanitarian context. While UNICEF work at country level provides the greatest opportunity for partnership with CSOs, there are additional forms of collaboration. Below is a brief look at other opportunities for CSOs and UNICEF to work together, including at the global level, to advance children’s rights.
