The heart of UNICEF work is in the field. Therefore, most partnerships between UNICEF and civil society organizations happen at country level in the context of a programme of cooperation that is developed together with the host government (see: partnering at country level). Partnerships also happens to a great extent in humanitarian context. While UNICEF work at country level provides the greatest opportunity for partnership with CSOs, there are additional forms of collaboration. Below is a brief look at other opportunities for CSOs and UNICEF to work together, including at the global level, to advance children’s rights.

To add your organization to our contact list and receive updates on the work of UNICEF please click on this link to fill in your organization's information. If you are interested in collaborating with UNICEF directly please contact the relevant UNICEF country office. Contact information for each country office can be found here

Please note that consultative status with UNICEF is not used or needed by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to engage with UNICEF. NGOs already holding consultative status with ECOSOC are welcome to observe and make interventions during meetings of the UNICEF Executive Board. Participating organizations are requested to submit their credentials to the Office of the Secretary of the Executive Board of UNICEF (contact details are posted in the UN Journal before each Executive Board meeting). NGOs may also choose to become members of the NGO Committee on UNICEF, established by the UNICEF Executive Board. The NGO Committee on UNICEF facilitates the engagement of NGOs with the organization and can be contacted via email: info@ngocomunicef.org.
