About UNICEF: Employment

Vacancies

Regular International Professional vacancies worldwide (post levels P-1 through P-5) and regular General Service Vacancies (G-4 through G-7) for Headquarters locations (New York, USA, Copenhagen, Denmark and, Geneva, Switzerland) are advertised in the e-Recruitment system.

Vacancies for Senior Staff positions such as Representatives and Directors (post levels P-5, D-1 and D-2) are advertised outside of e-Recruitment, in the Senior Staff Vacancies section.

National Officer and General Service positions in UNICEF Country Offices are advertised locally. We encourage you to visit the website of the local UNICEF Country Office (a listing of all Offices is available here).

Short term or temporary assignments are advertised in this section. However temporary assignments in emergency settings are now advertised in the e-Recruitment system.

Consultancy assignments are advertised here.

How to apply to regular vacancies
Click on the appropriate link on the left navigation menu to log in to an existing e-Recruitment profile or to create a new profile in e-Recruitment. Current UNICEF staff members should log in using their staff profiles through the appropriate link or navigate to the relevant section of the UNICEF Intranet.

You can search for vacancies by location, keyword or functional area. Click here to learn more about our areas of work. If you wish to see all vacancies, please do not select any criteria and click the "Start" button in the Job Search page.

Please note that it is highly recommended that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer rather than different web browser (Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari - Mac computer) because you will not be able to get the optimized version of the e-Recruitment system. We also recommend that you disable the pop-up blockers from your internet browser to enable additional windows such as the application wizard to open.

Online applications will be acknowledged using the e-mail address you provided. If you do not receive an e-mail acknowledgement within 24 hours of submitting an application, your application may not have been received. To check the status of your application, please login to the system and click on “Employment Opportunities” and then “My Applications.”

We will contact candidates who are seriously being considered for a post for an interview. All candidates will be notified of the outcome of their applications.

If you’ve forgotten your password or user name, please use the password forgotten link on the main e-Recruitment log in page. Alternatively, you can send us an email at eRecruitment@unicef.org specifying your first and last name so we can provide you with your log in information.
