Consultancy assignment: Social Services for Peacebuilding

Purpose:

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Consultant, Social Services for Peacebuilding.

Qualifications: 

-   Master’s degree in development or related studies in public policy, peace/conflict studies, international development, political science, sociology, anthropology, international law.

-   A minimum of 8 years of academic, research, and practical work experience in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, resilience, international development, humanitarian action, and with a focus on fragile and conflict affected contexts. 

-   Familiarity with UNICEF programmes and the challenges of implementing such programmes in fragile and conflict affected countries will be a strong asset.

-   Strong understanding of discourse and practical programme strategies related to the linkage between social services delivery, peacebuilding and resilience in fragile and conflict affected settings.

-   Knowledge and experience in and conceptual understanding of capacity development (curriculum and materials development, organization and facilitation of training events, mentoring, etc.).
