Temporary Appointment: Senior Education Specialist, P-5, Nigeria

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Temporary Appointment for Senior Education Specialist, P-5, Nigeria Country Office.

Required Qualifications:  

Education:
Advanced university degree in education or education related discipline areas.
Demonstrative capacity on management of education programmes.

Experience:
Eleven years of progressively professional work experience at national and international levels in education field. Experience in working in gender in education, management of education programmes, and working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset

Language: 
Fluency in English language and writing skills

  • Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Sets high standards for quality of work and consistently achieves project goals.
  • Good leadership and programme management skills.
  • Translates strategic direction into plans and objectives.
  • Analyzes and integrates diverse and complex quantitative and qualitative data from a wide range of sources.
  • Quickly builds rapport with individuals and groups; maintains an effective network of individuals across.
  • Identifies urgent and potentially difficult decisions and acts on them promptly; initiates and generates team- and department-wide activities.
