Temporary Appointment: MICS Household Survey Specialist, State of Palestine

Purpose:
UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a MICS Household Survey Specialist, State of Palestine. For more information, see the attached Terms of Reference.

Minimum requirements and competencies:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in a field related to Statistics, Survey Methodology, Epidemiology or other related technical field with significant measurement or analysis component
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the coordination and/or management of quantitative household surveys.  Prior MICS/DHS coordination experience highly desirable
  • Expertise in statistical analyses including CSPro and SPSS
  • Experience in survey report writing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective relationships with national partners
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the State of Palestine, including the West Bank and Gaza (Logistical and transport arrangements will be provided by UNICEF CO in Jerusalem)
  • Fluency in English; oral and written proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
