Fundraising Specialist (Strategic Monitoring), P-3, Private Fundraising and Partnerships, New York Headquarters

UNICEF seeks a Fundraising Specialist (Strategic Monitoring) to be based in its Private Fundraising and Partnerships office, New York Headquarters.
Under the general supervision of the Senior Adviser, Private Engagement and Social Responsibility and Chief, Civil Society Partnerships, you will monitor, evaluate and provide regular updates on the priorities, on-going work and major developments of existing and potential partners in civil society and the private sector and on trends and opportunities in global civil society and the private sector with respect to public private partnerships and corporate social responsibility. You will liaise as necessary with existing and potential external partners, HQ divisions, National Committees and regional and country offices, and research and monitor existing literature, partner websites and internet postings.
Regular monitoring and updates will help ensure coherent and disciplined approaches to partnerships, guide strategic decisions about which partners to engage for what purpose and according to which model of partnership, and inform the on-going refinement of UNICEF’s partnership strategy.
You will maintain frequent contact with the Principal Adviser, Private Sector Engagement and Social Responsibility and Chief, Civil Society Partnerships. Your work will require regular liaison with external partners.
Your profile:
Advanced university degree in social sciences or related field.
Minimum five years progressively responsible professional work experience in social sciences, research or communications, of which two years should preferably be in developing countries.
Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with external partners.
Proven research and planning & monitoring skills, with ability to organize work and projects.
General ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form.
Knowledge of current debates, trends and developments in civil society and in the private sector on social engagement and corporate social responsibility.
Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas, as well as impart knowledge and teach skills.
Knowledge of computer systems, internet navigation and various office applications, specifically interactive digital media.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
Capability to lead, coordinate and contribute to policy and strategy development.
Fluency in English required. Another UN language desirable.
