Regional Chief of Monitoring and Evaluation, P-5, Nairobi Regional Office, Kenya
If you are a passionate and committed professional and want to make a lasting difference for children, the world's leading children's rights organization would like to hear from you. UNICEF seeks a Regional Chief of Monitoring and Evaluation to be based in its Nairobi Regional Office, Kenya.
You will be responsible for advising and supporting 20 country offices of the region in monitoring and evaluation issues through developing integrated monitoring and evaluation plans (IMEPS) as well as sectoral monitoring plans; also responsible for regional training, policy guidance and development of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, such as multi-indicator cluster surveys (MISCS) to assess progress and to fulfill related regional oversight and reporting accountabilities.
Your profile:
Advanced university degree in social sciences or relevant technical field
Technical knowledge of the latest developments and applications in monitoring and evaluation of social development programmes and development of social statistics
Quantitative statistical skills and knowledge and experience with computer management and relevant applications.
Twelve years progressive experience at national and international levels in programme research, monitoring and evaluation, including leading/conducting research/evaluations/assessments; field experience in African countries in training, monitoring and evaluation in both French and English
Good analytical, negotiation, communication and advocacy skills
Practical knowledge of computer management and application
Writing skills and good track record of publications in international peer-reviewed journals

Fluency in English and another UN language required.
