Programme Officers

UNICEF is looking for Programme Officers to be members of dedicated teams working, sometimes under stressful and severe conditions, in collaboration with governments, NGOs, communities, children and young people, to devise and implement innovative strategies to improve the status of women and children. You will be responsible for overall coordination, planning, development and management of programmes in the areas of education, HIV/AIDS or health.

Your Profile:

• Advanced university degree in any of the following: social sciences, international relations, public health, education, or other fields related to the work of UNICEF.
• Depending on the level of the position, five to ten years of professional work experience at the national and international levels in social development, programme management, monitoring and evaluation.
• Current knowledge of development issues, strategies, as well as  programming policies and procedures in international development cooperation. 
• Fluency in English and another UN language (i.e. Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is required.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.
