About UNICEF: Annual Report
Annual Report
![]() |
The Annual Report 2006 highlights UNICEF's work in 155 countries, areas and territories. It summarizes some of the important results achieved for children in 2006 and highlights what still needs to be done. The report demonstrates that the road to achieving the Millennium Development Goals is strewn with obstacles, but steadfast determination, strong partnerships, smart investment and precise accountability carve out impressive inroads and models for sustainable development.
UNICEF celebrated its 60th Anniversary in 2006, marking six decades of humanitarian work and advocacy for children. However, the needs and rights of children are as urgent as they were back in 1946 and we will continue to tirelessly work so that every child has a voice and every child’s rights are protected.
